Pacific Pines – Suburb Profile

Pacific Pines, originally a locality in Gaven, in Gold Coast City, was made a separate suburb in 2003. It is immediately south of Studio Village, Oxenford, on the west side of the Pacific Highway, and is 10 km north-west of Southport.

Pacific Pines was an 800 ha site which included a pine plantation. From its most elevated parts there are views of Stradbroke Island and Coolangatta. The vegetation and the views inspired the name. Pacific Pines is one of the largest and fastest growing master-planned communities on the Gold Coast. Located in the Brisbane to Gold Coast corridor, Pacific Pines offers its residents varied views from Stradbroke to Coolangatta.

Now recognised as a suburb in its own right, Pacific Pines has it all, including schools, shopping, open parklands, wetlands, childcare, a tavern, playing fields and a picturesque lake and freshwater creek. The attractive surroundings are set against a backdrop of natural bushland, with wide open spaces and quality landscaping.

A dynamic community that continues to grow, Pacific Pines takes in the residential developments of Greenway, Park Ridge, Vue 360 and Springwood.

The convenience of transit links nearby and its affordability in comparison to other parts of the Gold Coast make it an attractive option to homebuyers and this is reflected in the suburb’s median house price.
