What's New

If you wish to leave a property before the lease has expired, you are breaking your lease. You will be required to give written notice of your intention to leave. You will also be required to pay a Re-letting fee (one weeks rent + GST) and you will need to pay rent until a new tenant is secured, or until the lease concludes.  The property manager may also require you to pay the re-advertisement fee, but this will be discussed with you.

Additional financial responsibilities for breaking a lease include:

  • Change the smoke alarm batteries, or pay the appropriate fee for smoke alarm maintenance.
  • Conduct a bond clean upon leaving the property, or pay the appropriate cleaning fee.
  • Pay for pest control if an animal was present in the property.
