Many families are outraged over the closing of six schools in Queensland this month.

After term 4 of this year, 500 students and 100 teachers will have to leave their schools of:

  • Fortitude Valley State School
  • Old Yarranlea State School in Mt Gravatt
  • Toowoomba South State School
  • Stuart State School in Townsville
  • Charlton State School in Toowoomba
  • Nyanda State High School in Salisbury

This may mean that some families will have to relocate in order to find another school.

The Newman Government will have a challenge ahead in supporting those affected by the closures.
